I grew up in Virginia, Connecticut, and Florida but mostly New Hampshire. Growing up in different places gave me the opportunity to become exposed to many different sports. I either competed or participated in soccer, ice hockey, swimming, motocross, flying, skiing, sailing, and lacrosse. Additionally, going to high school where you are required to play three different sports a year did not allow me to specialize in a sport; rather it forced me to be introduced to new ones. The different unique challenges you face by participating in a variety of athletic pursuits drives me to find more. While I am still lucky enough to occasionally try new things, playing lacrosse in college means most of my time is now dedicated to just that.
When faced in choosing between sailing and lacrosse as the sport I would pursue in college, I chose lacrosse due to the combination of the speed and physicality of the game and ultimately the bond you share with your teammates from facing and overcoming challenges. Lacrosse was also passed down to me by my dad and over the years has quickly become my favorite sport. I have been fortunate enough to be able to find success at the next level by playing at the University of New Hampshire where I am also focusing on graduating with a major in finance.
