I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and attended Newark Memorial High School. After 4 years of Varsity Cross Country, Soccer, and Track and Field, I graduated in 1992 and attended Hawaii Pacific University on a Cross Country scholarship. To train and race in beautiful Hawaii was an amazing privilege. My best running accomplishment while in college was being named a Cross Country All-American in 1995.

I attended the University of Hawaii Air Force R.O.T.C. program, and was commissioned an Officer in the United States Air Force in 1996. This gave me the awesome opportunity of running on the United States Air Force, Europe, Cross Country team, while stationed in Germany. We raced against other NATO Air Force teams in Germany, England, Belgium, and The Netherlands. It was a fantastic experience.

Now, as a Mom of two young boys, my ultimate goal is to try and be a good example of living a healthy and vibrant life. I run on the Forward Motion Elite Team in Danville, CA, and participate in many local races from 5KM through the Marathon. Looking forward to running the Boston Marathon in 2011 with many of my teammates.
