My name is Megan Hottman. I'm an attorney and I'm also a bike racer. I run our women's cycling team, called TREADS, which I started in 2006. I grew up in Omaha, NE and stayed there through college and law school, before moving on to Kansas City for 2 years and then eventually made my way to my dream home in Golden, CO with my husband. I got into the sport of cycling as a marathon runner who dabbled in triathlon and realized I was tired of knee pain and that I couldn't swim - so the logical conclusion was to try the cycling by itself. I got serious about bike racing during my final year of law school - 2003. That year I met my now-husband at a bike race (my license fell out of my jersey and he picked it up). I grew to love and learn the sport with his help and guidance. The last seven years have been a fantastic journey as I've moved up the ranks in cycling. It's been really fun to see our team grow and progress since 2006, too. It really has taken on a life of its own.
