“I bought my first mountain bike in 1993 with only 400 bucks that I had saved up over the summer. That marked the beginning of a long relationship with myself and two wheels.”
Marisa is an elite American road cyclist riding for an elite team, DFT p/b Treads in 2010. She has been racing full time as a professional for five years and began her career racing for Fort Lewis College in 2004. In this short period of time, Marisa won the 2007 Tour of the Gila's "Gila Monster" road race and the queen stage of the NRC event earning one of the top spots in the American peloton.
Through her dedication, hard work, and positive outlook, she is on the fast track to the top of her sport. Marisa will be racing many of the National Racing Calendar races but will also be focusing on Multi sport events for 2010. She adds a professional Triathlon schedule this year.
Marisa attributes most of her success to the endless support of her loving family, friends and generous sponsors. She looks forward to an exciting season in 2010!
