Upgraded from a CAT 3 to a CAT 2 in just a few months.
Won 3 crits as a CAT 3, and once upgraded, placed 5th overall at the Steamboat Springs Stage Race!
I was born in California and I now live in Louisville, Colorado, but I call Wyoming, Guam, Hawaii, and Utah my homes as well. I suppose I've been around cycling since before I could walk. My dad was a big endurance racer back when we lived in California, and he used to race centuries with me on the back in a bike seat, so I guess my racing was the next natural step! I really got interested in racing during my four years at Colorado College, and got serious about it by my senior year. The jump from collegiate cycling to the grueling Colorado cycling scene was an abrupt awakening. I became much more focused than I had previously been in college, and was able to upgrade from a CAT 3 to a CAT 2 in just a few months, which was inspiring. As a CAT 3, I had 3 crit wins, good confidence boosters, and once I upgraded, I was able to finish 5th overall at my favorite Colorado race, the Steamboat Springs Stage Race! When I'm not riding on the road, my husband and I love to go mountain biking, climbing, hiking, and camping. I also love reading and playing games in the evening!
