I was a gymnast until I was twelve years old. When I decided to be done, my parents signed me up for the Bridger Freestyle Ski Team, as I had always loved mogul skiing. I started skiing at three years old, but had never competed in skiing.
My career has been a slow and steady climb, main results started with Overall Northern Division Champion in 2003 and 2004, I was 2005, 2006, and 2009 North American Tour Champion. In 2007 I was World Cup Rookie of the Year and earned my first podiums on World Cup in 2010; including 1st and 2nd at Deer Valley, 3rd at Lake Placid and 3rd at Sierra Nevada, Spain. My consistency on World Cup finished me in 2nd overall on the World Cup tour. I also had the honor of competing in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics where I qualified 3rd, went for it in finals, and unfortunately fell on my bottom air. It was an amazing experienced and has fueled the fire for my training and goals in competing in the future.
One of my biggest goals in skiing is to inspire others to believe in themselves and pursue their passions. Whenever I can I give back to the sport that has helped shape my life; being involved in fundraisers and coaching. Another goal of mine is to push myself and the sport of mogul skiing. I’m working on a couple bigger tricks and really wanting to continue pushing the technique in my turns and my speed. Besides skiing I really love spending time with my family, going home to Montana, doing pretty much anything outside, yoga, reading and spending time with friends.
