I grew up kind of all over the place. I was born in Iowa, then lived in Denver for about 6 years, Michigan for about 7 years, Chicago for about 10 years, and have been back in Denver ever since. I don't miss the midwest (other than family and friends) and I love CO!

Having been a collegiate athlete (basketball & track), I needed something athletic to keep me fit and satisfy my competitive nature after college. So I began running and soon entered some races - beginning with 5k's & 10k's and eventually completing several half and full marathons. I developed the desire to try triathlons and with the help of a cycling friend, bought my 1st bike. I watched this same friend race his bike and while it looked like fun, I initially stuck with century rides, etc. Once my friend introduced me to my now husband, who had been racing bikes for several years, I tried my first real bike race and was soon hooked on bike racing.
