After playing baseball in college, Andy was looking for a new outlet for his competitive nature when his brother introduced him to triathlons. Over the course of the next five years, Andy became immersed in the sport and lifestyle. During that time, he posted numerous top finishes in his age group and qualified for both the Boston marathon and 70.3 world championships.

Outside of athletics Andy is a devoted husband and father to Julie and Avery Salmon along with being a third generation owner/operator of SALMON Health and Retirement, the 2009 Massachusetts family business of the year.
