Todi USA jumps into athletic lifestyle footwear market with après sport shoes.

Stocked with its first shipment of shoes, Todi tells hard-charging athletes “it takes a pair.”

Portsmouth, N.H.—April 13, 2010— Backed by an aggressive brand strategy and an equally zealous attitude, Todi USA, Inc. is launching a new brand and a brand new market category: après athletic footwear. Today, with its warehouse newly stocked with 3,000 pairs of shoes, this Portsmouth-based shoe company announced it’s ready to fulfill orders on its flagship product, the Todi Original™. More important, it’s positioned to get athletes to think just as much about the shoes they wear off the field as they do about their specialized athletic footwear.

“The Todi Original is an ideal shoe to wear to and from the locker room … or the slope, rink, cliff or anywhere else an aggressive athlete goes,” says Todi General Manager David Getman. “Athletes tend to beat their feet. And Todi helps them recharge.” But the biggest reason athletes will want them? According to Getman, “They’re kick-ass shoes.”

That attitude is integral to the brand. As the company’s recently launched website (www.todiusa.com) states, “Exclusively designed for aggressive souls, Todi symbolizes the spirit found deep inside an athlete’s core.”

Todi Original shoes feature a specially designed Physi-Form™ insole with the support to help the foot relax and the versatility to gradually conform and accommodate to the wearer’s unique foot shape. The cupped heel and coated cork footbed act as big-time shock absorbers, while micro-perforated buckskin uppers, pillowed rim and a roomy toe box enhance comfort, fit and style.

Through spring 2010, Todi Original shoes will be available for purchase only online at TodiUSA.com. By summer, however, the line will be available in exclusive retail shops in California and in Summer Sessions Surf Shop, a local New Hampshire favorite. The retail price is $99.
